Recipient of a 2015 award given by The Bergen County Division of Cultural & Historic AffairsNikki was recently recipient of a 2015 award given by The Bergen County Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs. The award was given for her work with issues of social change that her dance company Nikki Manx Dance Project incorporates into their work.

"Choreographer Nikki Manx likes to tackle social and political themes. Her work is very accessible to audiences that are not necessarily versed in modern dance." -- Stated in an interview by Rob Johnson of the Star Ledger with Avianna Perez, founder of the "Your Move" Dance Festival, of which NMDP has been a participant for 3 years.

Mission Statement
My goal as a choreographer is to represent dance as a necessity to the community.

While supporting a movement style that is unrestricted and flows freely, my dancers simultaneously embody a powerful motivation behind their movement. The company incorporates a theatrical and vocabulary that enables the community to question social, political and thought-provoking issues brought to theforefront through movement. In accordance with many of the social issues brought to light by the dancers, we hope to inspire progressive change in our communities.
